Best results are acheived on a 800x600 (or bigger) screen, 16 bits colours (or more), and big icons. You need Plus! or an equivalent to use this theme (or you will need to set everything by hands). "AAWT" is freeware. You may share this theme with others provided you do not remove or alter this readme file. Run a decompression program like WinZip 2. Unzip all the files into a temp directory 3. Move all the files from the unarchived AAWTtheme directory into your Theme file directory (usually c:\program files\plus!\themes) 3. Run Microsoft Plus! or any other theme file installer and select 'Other' from the theme selection box. 4. Load the theme file that you just unzipped Notes: - Startup/shutdown screens are included in this theme. Double-click on the "aasss.exe" file to install them (to un-install, just double-click again on that file). Double-click on "aasss.hlp" if you need more help. - The "My documents" icon has to be replaced by hands: right-click somewhere on your desktop (not on icons), select "properties", then select the "effects" tab. - The "recycle bin" icons are heavily based on an icon drawn for the Amiga platform by ? (author unknown). - The hotspot on "Billy Borg" cursors is in Billy's right eye (that is left for you). WHAT'S NEW: =========== - v1.1 (20 February 2000) - Re-pack the startup/wait/shutdown screens using the LogoZip utility. Installing those screens is now even easier: just double-click on the "aasss.exe" file (See "aasss.hlp" for more). - Added a new background wallpaper: "AAWTwal1.bmp" (800x600x8). The picture is stretched to fit other screen resolutions. - Still missing from this theme pack is a screen saver.
