II - INTRODUCTION
This document presents the operation, handling and applications of a Sagem video endoscope. This
apparatus is a camera with a long thin lens that can provide a video image of normally invisible
components or parts, that are located in very dark or hard-to-access places.
You can use the endoscope to record video or photographic sequences.
It can be connected to a CLIP fault finding tool PC, which means the fault finding tool and video device can
be used at the same time.
The explanations and remarks in this document apply to all vehicles in the RENAULT range.
Before carrying out any work, turn the engine off and leave it to cool down to prevent the device's cables becoming
entangled in moving components (such as a belt) or suffering heat damage from certain components.
Check the battery charge is correct, as the device is connected to it.

III - APPARATUS PRESENTATION & OPERATION
1 - Equipment description
The device comprises four components:
A camera, itself comprising an image sensor (CCD), flexible lead and the image processing electronics.
A self lighting lens that sends the image to the CCD sensor. This comprises a simple lens (for axial view ),
or a 90 ° or 120 ° prism for lateral view .
A monitor.
An interface unit that manages the device power supply and its computer connection (USB).
These four components are connected by cables and supplied by the battery.
