How to obtain updates to the DOS shareware version over the net: Updates to F-PROT consist of three distinct files. fp-xxx.zip This file is updated as necessary, maybe every one or two months. It contains the DOS version of F-PROT and the current virus definition files. fp-def.zip Contains the latest SIGN.DEF and SIGN2.DEF macrdef2.zip Contains the latest MACRO.DEF The .DEF update files are updated more frequently than the program itself. At the moment, they are only available directly from us (ftp.f-prot.com), and any site that mirrors our FTP site, but that may change soon. If you have FTP access, you can always get the current version of F-PROT by anonymous FTP from a number of sites. Our primary method of distribution is through Simtel and Garbo, and all "mirrors" of those sites should always carry an up-to-date version of F-PROT.
