Technical Data Sheet
SikaMelt-9633/33
SikaMelt-9633/33 is a moisture curing PUR prepolymer hotmelt adhesive with a short open time and a high initial strenght.
SikaMelt-9633/33 is suitable for bonding a variety of plastics, especially ABS, wood and wood fibre, foam, enamelled and primed steel.
Sikamelt-9633/33 reacts with moisture to form a PUR-plastic of high toughness and resistance to low temperatures, which cannot be melted anymore. Bonding large areas of impervious materials (e.g. steel and plastic sheet) cannot be effected with this system.
TYPICAL PROPERTIES (Sika Tivoli Method)
VISCOSITY at 130°C : approx. 12,500 mPas, Brookfield
DENSITY at 20°C (g/cm³) : approx. 1.15
APPEARANCE : white to beige, milky muddy
OPEN TIME : tack-free after approx. 1 minute
CURING TIME : approx. 6 hours at 20°C and a relative humidity
of 55% for a 500m film
The above properties are typical for this product and have been found under defined conditions. They depend on e.g. temperature, humidity, coating weight as well as on the water-vapour permeability of the bonded materials.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
SikaMelt-9633/33 can be processed at temperatures between 100 to 170°C. Stillstands of several hours or overnight, particularly at temperatures above 120°C, should be avoided. The nozzle should be immersed in a moisture-free oil (paraffin oil or machine oil) during extended pauses in order to prevent blockage.
