Garden Gate
The old garden gate has just got even more
inviting. The "Easy Gate" makes building a
garden gate simple and allows for size,
height and design variations.
Using this bracket set ensures that your gate
will be square and strong. No angled cuts are
required. A square is not required, as the gate
frame will automatically be squared when
brackets are attached. Remember that you
donÓt necessarily need a fence to have a gate.
A gate can stand alone as a piece of garden
art, separating one area from another and
adding an interesting element to the
landscape.

¤ 1" x 4" pine or cedar, 48 ft. (approx)
¤ 2" x 4" pine or cedar, 10 ft. (approx)
¤ 2" deck screws 2182-159
¤ "Easy Gate" no-saw bracket kit

1. Determine your gate requirements. The
"Easy Gate" bracket kit will allow for openings
from 27" to 72" wide, with no height
restrictions.
2. Cut 2" x 4" cedar or pine top and side rails
accordingly.
3. Determine if the gate will be left or right
side opening, and install the four rails into the
metal brackets using the screws supplied.
4. Cut the pickets to length from 1" x 4" cedar
or pine, and using a jigsaw, shape the top of
each picket. Sand before assembly.
5. Install the pickets to the front of the frame
using 1-1/2" deck screws.
6. Seal and finish the gate.
