Setting up Lemmings as our first Amiga game

 

Tabs will be written with Bold, Italic and red text colour.

 

·         Run "AMIGA Emulator + 237 classic games-WinUAE-Setup.exe"

·         Click "Next".

·         Wait for it to install.

·         Click "Finish".

·         Lets setup a game, lets make Lemmings our game for now, and you can setup other games later:

 

·         Click Start -> All programs -> WinUAE -> WinUAE

·         Click the "ROM" Tab.

·         Under "ROM File" click the browse button on the right and locate c:\Program Files\WinUAE\ROMS\Kick310.rom and select it

·         Under "Key file" Locate the same folder as above and select rom.key from that folder

 

 

·         Click the "Sound" tab.

·         Under "Sound Emulation" select "Enabled, 100% accurate"

·         Under "Frequency" choose 48000 Hz or 44100 Hz

·         Under "Stereo Mode" choose Stereo

·         Under "Interpolation" choose Enabled

 

·         Click the "OpenGL" tab.

·         Choose "Enable OpenGL"

·         Choose "32bit"

 

·         Click the "Display" tab.

·         Check the "Full screen" checkbox.

·         Under "Select", choose 1024x768, 32-bit" and use 100hz if you can with your monitor.

 

·         Choose the "Floppies" tab.

·         Click the "Eject" button on DF0 and DF1 (Two on top)

·         Click the browse button on DF1 and browse to c:\Program Files\WinUAE\Amiga Games\Lemmings-d1.adf

·         Click the browse button on DF1 and browse to c:\Program Files\WinUAE\Amiga Games\Lemmings-d2.adf

 

·         Click the "Configurations" tab.

·         Click the "Save As..." -button and just save it to the desktop or any place where you want it, name it "Lemmings"

·         When you want to play Lemmings, just double click on the icon where you saved it, then WinUAE will launch and just click ok on WinUAE when it has been launched, and the game will launch. When you want to quit the game, press F12 and select the "Misc." tab and select Quit WinUAE" or select "Reset Amiga". Keep in mind that you can also choose "Save current state..." and it will save the current state in any game or program you are currently running. Its like a "super-save" button..

 

Thats it, its up to you to fine tune things now, but youre ready to play Lemmings at least :)
