About the author

Sean Odom has been in the Information Technology industry for over 20 years
and in that time he has written for such publishers as Que, Sybex, Coriolis,
Paraglyph Press, and now Media Works Publishing.
Along with writing, Sean has also mastered many facets of Information
Technology. In fact the number of skills he possesses is virtually impossible to
find in one single individual. Companies usually need to hire many skilled
individuals to run their organization. Sean has the skills to handle them all.
He is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and a Microsoft Certified
Systems Administrator (MCSA). Along with that he is an expert at networking,
an expert at supporting operating systems, an expert trainer, does web design,
search engine optimization, is a certified physical cabling expert, and one of the
foremost experts in network security and intrusion detection.
Sean is well known in the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) industry as well.
Some of his techniques have been learned and put in to use by many others
through books and news articles he has written. He has also been credited with
starting an entire industry of SEO professionals and related businesses. Sean
was one of the first to introduce SEO techniques and make it well known with
the very first article on the subject in 1989.

Acknowledgements
I have to thank many of those who care about me the most. The ones that
have said lately, “Even when I am home. I am not home.” Also to the person
who gives me a day job and has too much faith in me, Randy Bankofier. I must
