Rebirth of the Tesla Turbine
Will the real engine of the 21 st century please stand up!

It ’s be en ne arly 1 00 ye ars since Niko la Te sla p ro to typ ed his first tu rbine engin e, a nd t he wo rld is
still waiting to see if it will ever amount to much. To understand why an engine with so much
pot ential can lang uish in limbo for so long we ha ve to view in retr ospe ct t he sta te o f the
engineering world at the time of its development.
Just prior to the turn of the century (19 th - 20 th ), gasoline and diesel piston engines were
develop ed to the po int where they co uld be use d in vehicles. At the sa me time, Pa rsons and
Curtis turbines were being developed for steam power plants. By the time Tesla began
develop ing his engine, pist on te chnolog y was fully entrenc hed in the a uto industr y, and t he
major playe rs in e lect rica l pro duc tio n – GE and W est ingho use – had alre ady inv est ed he avily in
Parsons and Curtis designs.

During that same time frame, the U.S. oil cartel was cooking up a plan to subjugate the people of
the U.S. and eventually the rest of the world by making everyone dependent on the new “black
gold” – oil. Engines such as Tesla’s that had the potential for lower cost and higher efficiencies
did no t fit into the pro fit sc hemes o f the rich o il baro ns of t hat day. They s aw T esla’s dre am of a
pollution-free environment as anti-American, since it cut into their profit plans.
Tesla and his technologies were systematically swept under the carpet until the “great
awake ning” in the lat e 1960 ’s to early 1970 ’s. So me of us who were s tar ting co llege aro und
1969 d iscover ed obs cure bo oks a nd art icles in campus librar ies that spok e of expe riments and
developments performed by a completely unknown inventor – Nikola Tesla.
The old book that I unearthed and read from cover to cover featured a man and his vast variety
of discoveries – in practically every area of science – and how he developed working prototypes
for most of these discoveries. I was fascinated with his ‘earthquake machines’, death ray
concepts, and most of all by his turbine. Not having the opportunity or resources to do very
much with it at that time, the knowledge slowly cooked o n the back burner for another 25 years.
The n in 19 94 t he t urb ine memo ry eme rge d as an an swe r t o a pre ssing pro blem. At t he t ime my
company foc us was o n develop ing UAVs (U nmanned Air Vehicles) . As we s tepp ed thr ough t he
first design we discovered that engines being used by other designers for aircraft were either
high-priced bladed turbines or gas piston engines that needed major rebuilding every 500 hours.
The answer to the po werplant problem stuck out like a sore thumb – Tesla turbines.
In addit ion to being the a nswer t o the UAV po wer plant pro blem, we also discove red alo ng the
way t hat the Te sla t ur bine is the ans wer to man’ s gr eat est cha lleng es fa cing him in t his c ent ur y:
rapidly increa sing demand fo r elect rical and au tomo tive po wer. For a coup le of years r unning
we’ve studied serious global issues such as global warming, climate shift, the high costs of food
& fuel, and how all of these factor into sustainable growth for everyone on the planet – not just
the top 1% to 5%.
Sustainable Growth
Sustainable growth is global progress without pollution overhead. It is the ability for mankind to
move for ward a nd crea te qu ality of living for ever yone, eve n with a r apidly increasing
popu lation.
The major impediment to global growth is greed. Greed economics has driven accelerated
growth with profiteering for a select few, along with unchecked pollution for over one hundred
years, and the result is devastating to our ecosystem and world health.

famine, disease, dwindling fuel reserves, and climate shift catastrophes (severe weather
anomalies). The three main sources of air pollution are: internal combustion engines, coal-fired
power plants, and the manufacturing sector.
The only viable technology capable of delivering the elusive sustainable growth formula – more
po wer , les s po llut ion, low er c ost – is t he T esla or bou ndar y layer tu rbine . While knu ckle head s in
government bank on fuel cells and IT as the saviors of mankind, anyone with half a brain knows
that the ‘fool cell’ and its requisite fuel infrastructure will not be able to move mankind from
piston engines to the new system for another 50-100 years!
In rea l terms, this means t hat t he wor ld will kill itself off in the mire of to xic wast e befor e the
idiots who now run the system (industrial-government cartel) deliver a timely solution. Piston
engines must be to ssed as ide if we are t o save t he planet , and since fuel cells won’t meet t he
deadline, what’s left? – The Tesla turbine.
The Te sla tur bine is the o nly technolo gy now ava ilable to hea d off the rapidly comp ounding
disa ste r t hat now plag ues mankin d: s elf-in flict ed d eat h by indu str ial to xins. Tha t a vailab ility is
why the Tesla turbine is the real Engine of the 21 st Cen tu ry!
Decentralized Utilities
The Bush energy program (written by the U.S. energy cartel) describes a Pollyanna-type future
in which all Americans will enjoy ‘abunda ntly flowing elect rical pow er t o rid t hem of the
scourge of pollution and power deprivation’.
Let’s stop right here and take a reality check…
First of all, the plan calls for constru cting a large number of huge coal-fired power plants just
across the Mexican border to evade air quality legislation.
Next, the entire U.S. must be rewired with high voltage power lines crisscrossing the entire
count ry. Bush a lso claimed in pass ing that Americans wo uld be happ y to give u p their lands and
properties to facilitate construction of this divine energy system. Again, the reality is plain to
see: this is nothing but a ploy to secure Bush’s rich buddies in a monopolistic, centralist utility
extortion scheme over the American public.
The reality is that we already pay too much for utilities – much more than the cost of energy. To
give you an example – my electric bill for last month was round $53. I used $17 worth of
electricity, and the rest was surcharges & “distribution fees”! Does anyone else smell extortion
here? It’s extortion because government refuses to put a cap on greed, and we – the American
public – must have the utilities to survive.
The o bviou s answ er t o t he pr oblem is t o de cent ralize utilit ies – t o pla ce t he po wer of se lf-
dete rmination ba ck into the hand s of the public, as it should be ! This means pr oviding t he
technology for every household and every business to produce its own heat and electrical power.
The re a re a numbe r o f te chno log ies t hat can b e co nside red for a qu ick fix, but the only
technology that fits into sustainable growth strategies is again, the Tesla turbine.
Some of the benefits we have to keep in mind when considering any engine technology are:
a) All-fuel capability
b) Quiet operation
c) Long life
d) High power density
e) Pollution free
f) Low co st t o p ro duc e and maint ain
Of all technologies I have studied, the Tesla turbine is the only engine that fits all of these
req uir emen ts , a nd is the only o ne c apa ble o f del iver ing o n th e de cen tr alize d ut ility s tr at egy.
Programs
So many of you may agree with what we’ve said so far, but your big question is, “How do I get
involved, a nd were do I get ho ld of this t echnolo gy for pe rsona l and business u se? How can I
secur e my future thro ugh dec entr alized ut ilities?”
PNGinc has set up a number of programs for both local and global involvement – from
technology construction clubs to business and philanthropic activities. We believe that to make
the wo rld a bet te r pla ce fo r all o f us, we mu st t ake back co ntr ol o f ou r lives fro m cent ralis m –
worldwide. In other wor ds, break up the monopolies.
On a personal level we have formed the Phoenix Turbine Builders Club
(www. phoenixnaviga tion. com/pt bc/home. htm), w hich is free for anyone t o join. We star ted t he
club by providing basic Tesla turbine construction diagrams and tips. Today we are able to offer
a kit of p art s th at a mec hanic ally incline d indiv idua l can ma chine and b uild int o a n indu str ial-
quality, low-horsepower Tesla turbine.
The end goal of the club is to construct complete, all-fuel cogenerator systems for personal
decent ralized po wer (heat a nd sto red elec tricit y). With t he rece nt intr oduc tion o f the t urbine
engine co mponent kit, w e are w ell on our way to realizing this g oal, a s we bring mo re of t he
components online over the next 12-18 months.
In addition to the free club, PNGinc also offers it’s expertise in the form of philanthropic work,
sourcing turbine kits to researchers and providing consulting and joint venture opportunities to
co mpanie s of a ll sizes . All o f the se p ro gra ms ar e ge are d t ow ard solv ing glo bal gr ow th p ro blems
by replacing old, dead-end technologies such as piston and conventional turbine engines with
powerful, pollution-busting, cost-effective Tesla turbines.
Future Growth
The “gr ass ro ots ” initiative in t he Phoe nix Turbine Bu ilders Club is o nly the first sho t at taking
back co ntro l of our lives thro ugh dec entr alization. As mentione d above , the primary go al of the
club is to wor k with o ur members t o build co mplete co genera tor systems at a hobby level and
pace, making the project affordable for people around the world.
At the same time we a re offer ing our technica l expert ise to small (or lar ge) bus inesses in the
fields of power production and vehicle powerplants. OEM’s looking for a turbine component for
their solar-steam or combustion-steam electrical power systems may find our engine kits ideal
for first product, followed by larger units developed through our consulting or joint venture
programs.
Proprietary knowledge gained in our PNGinc labs such as improved disk geometry, ultra-clean
bur ner and p ulse det ona tio n co mbust ion t echn ique s ar e ke y pivo ta l po ints for fut ure gro wt h in
bounda ry layer engine syst ems. Advanc ed pro jects su ch as ou r Kinetic E nergy Dr ive™ and
aircraft propulsion systems, along with our initial cogenerator project, are destined to sweep
aside both piston and fuel cell engine offerings.
Conclusion
Afte r ex amining and c omp arin g eve ry kn ow n viable te chno log y for po llut ion- free gro wt h in t his
new century, we’ve concluded that there is no engine technology or type that comes even close
to the Tes la or bou ndar y layer disk tu rbine . P isto n eng ines a nd bla ded tu rbine s had the ir sho t in
the 20 th century and caused the polluted cesspool we all live in today. Fuel cells are too immature
and wo n’t be r ead y for ano the r ce ntu ry.
Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes of a former life, the Tesla turbine is now emerging to take
its rightful place as the real motive power engine of the 21 st cen tu ry!
