VOR/NDB Simulator Version 1.0 Aviation Tutorials Company Readme File *************************************************** PERFORMANCE ISSUES 1. VOR/NDB Simulator is designed to run on a 'medium' speed computer (500 megahertz). If your computer is a slower machine, such as 133 megahertz, some aspects of the software might run slower. For instance, clicking and dragging the airplane and VOR's may appear slow and choppy. Or, the selection of courses on the NAV instruments may appear slow and choppy. This is due to the software's high usage of graphics and animation. 2. Consider using the left arrow and right arrow keys on your keyboard to change airplane heading, and use the keystrokes indicated below to set courses on the NAV instruments. This can prove easier than clicking the on-screen buttons that perform the same functions. 3. The video performance of the software may be improved by running in 800x600 screen resolution or higher. VOR/NDB Simulator will still run properly in lower resolution such as 640x480. 4. The video performance of the software may be improved by running in 24-bit (high color) color mode or higher. VOR/NDB Simulator will still run properly in lower color depth such as 256-color mode, but some performance degradation may occur. It is not recommended to run the software in the basic Windows 16-color mode. *************************************************** KEYSTROKES FOR THE SIMULATORS 1.
