*important note : To change the tint of your border simply go to your curves tool, in the pop down menu select red, blue or green, and then drag the end of the line at either top bottom, to the left or right. Or, you can just go in and change the color using selective color. You can also darken or lighten your border using curves or levels.
These borders work great with textures too, if you are into textures. We have included one texture to show you as an example.
** Please be aware that these are not vector files – so they may not all resize perfectly to other sizes - especially the round edged borders (14).
Border instructions - For an image sized 5 x 7\
1. File - Open - locate where you saved the psd file.\
2. Window - Layers to view the layers pallet.\
3. File - Open - open the image you want to have a border on. Image should be
sized 5 x 7\
4. Select - All\
5. Edit - Copy\
6. Window - black.psd (or white.psd) this will bring you back to your border.\
7. Edit - Paste (paste your image onto the border)\
8. In the layers pallet, find the layer you just pasted (It should be called Layer 1)\
9. Click and drag the layer down and drop it just above the bottom layer.\
10. Now you can click the "eyes" on the layers pallet to toggle on and off each
layer to view the borders on the image.\
11. Combine borders to achieve different looks and designs, from simple to
elaborate, or use them alone.\
12. When you are happy with the border you've selected - Layer - Flatten\
13. Click "Yes" to discard hidden layers.\
14. File - Save As - rename your completed image\

If you happen to save over your original pdf file, before closing it out: Edit -
Step Backwards. Do this until all of the layers appear again. To delete the image
from the layers pallet, click the layer, then the trash can at the bottom right of
the layers pallet. It's always recommended that you make a backup of the original
pdf before working on them.\
Border instructions for other sized images.\
3. File - Open - open the image you want to have a border on. \
12. Once you've found what you like, you'll need to use the Transform Tool to size
the border to your image. On PC's, Control+Alt+T will bring up the transform tool.
Just pull the edges of the border outward or inward to fit your image, then press
enter to set it. On Mac's, Alt+Apple key+T will bring up the transform tool.\
13. When you have the border sized correctly: Layer - Flatten\
14. Click "Yes" to discard hidden layers.\
15. File - Save As - rename your completed image\
**To use the vertical borders on horizontal images, once you open the border psd
file, goto Image - Rotate -.
