What's New:

  - Added missing keyboard keys

  - Mouse support


There were a number of keys that were not correctly mapped or not mapped at all
(e.g. the shift keys).  This is fixed.  There are 9 keys that I have labelled as
"Unknown" because I do not know what they are called on the X68000.  Furthermore,
I know that some of the labels assigned to keys are the names of the Windows
key instead of the X68000 key.  For instance, the Left/Right Alt keys are mapped to 
one of the XF1-5 keys on an X68000.  If anyone definitely knows the correct
labels for the unknown keys or the windows-labelled keys, please let me know and 
I'll update the labels accordingly.

  - Save states


The save state files that are generated can be large...close to 4MB in size.

The only thing that may not work is saving states with D88 disk image types.
This is probably not much concern because I have yet to come across any of those
disk types (which is why I cannot say whether or not it works).  Most games are 
XDF types or hard drive images.

   X68000X.ini file.)  Press Y from any file-listing screen to go up one
   directory level.

 - All UI commands (save state, load state, screenshot, etc) can be
   invoked from the Options/Pause menu as well as in-game via your
   customized joypad mappings.

 - Virtual Keyboard - go to Controller Configuration / UI Mappings to select
   the button combo that will bring up the Virtual Keyboard while in-game.

 - Can be invoked from a command-line to directly run a game from a front-end
   or dashboard and bypass the user-selection screens. (Only if the frontend
   or dashboard supports this feature.)

 - Can return to the launching program *if* the launching program supports this
   feature.  For example, if the custom-launch routines are incorporated into 
   a new frontend, that frontend could launch X68000X and when you exit 
   X68000X, that frontend can be automatically reloaded.

Important Notes
===============


Some games require framerates greater than 60fps.  To allow for this, the refresh rate
must be "turned off" to allow immediate refresh of the screen.  However, this is not 
compatible with high-definition modes.  If you are trying to play a game in a HD mode
(like 1080i) and the sound is all choppy, then you'll have to revert back to normal 480i
to play the game correctly.

Additionally, for optimal performance, the screen is not updated unless changes have been
made to it.  If you are fast-forwarding through disk loads, oftentimes you will fast forward
through the most recent screen update and you won't see the changes.  If you're staring at a
black screen after fast-forwarding and you think something is up, you can either press
the Left-Thumbstick to bring up the on-screen keyboard or you can press the Right-Thumbstick
to bring up the In-Game Options menu.  This will force a refresh of the screen and you can
see what's what.

The native resolution of the X68000 is 768x512.  The XBox (without a highdef A/V pack) can only
do 640x480 - so when you load some games don't be surprised if the text is all garbled.
Fortunately this doesn't really affect gameplay once graphics are on-screen.  If you
have a highdef A/V pack, then changing to 1080i mode will make things look much nicer.

Relax Network Sharing

The relax sharing setting goes in the [GENERAL] section as follows:

rlxshare=c:\X68KDISKS@192.168.123.77:1400

Replace 192.168.123.77 with your computer IP address and replace 8989 with the
port where you have Relax running.

Note on Samba/NetBIOS Shares
============================

There are two INI file settings relating to Samba/NetBIOS sharing and they both
reside in the [GENERAL] section of X68000X.INI:

smbshare=smb://username:password@workgroup:ip_address/computername/sharename
smb_nameserver=192.168.0.1


The smbshare parameter accepts many different formats.  Here are the most 
common:
