MATERIALS
Caron International's Dazzleaire (80% Acrylic, 20% Nylon; 3 oz/85g):
6 oz/170 grams
Shown in: #0012 Cerulean
One size US N-15 (10mm) crochet hook, or size to obtain gauge.
Yarn needle
GAUGE
In pattern, 2 StarSt and 4 rows = 4"/5cm.
STITCHES USED
Chain (ch), double crochet (dc)
SPECIAL TERM
StarSt: Star Stitch—([dc, ch 1] 3 times, dc) in indicated stitch or
space.
NOTE
Before beginning, cut 70 lengths of yarn, 13"/33cm long, for fringe.
SCARF
Ch 21.
Row 1: ([dc, ch 1] 3 times, dc) in 6th ch from hook (StarSt made), *sk

next 3 ch, StarSt in next ch; repeat from * to last 3 ch, sk next 2 ch,
dc in last ch, turn—4 StarSt.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), StarSt in each center ch-1 sp of
each StarSt across; dc in top of turning ch, turn.
Repeat Row 2 until piece measures 80"/203cm from beginning, or
desired length.
FINISHING
Fringe
Holding 5 strands of fringe yarn together, fold fringe in half. Using
crochet hook, * insert hook from WS to RS into one end of scarf, pull
through fold of strands (loop), insert ends into loop and pull tight
against edge; repeat from *, working 7 fringes across end of scarf.
Repeat across other end of scarf.
Using yarn needle, weave in all ends. Block lightly, if desired.
